The Swamp of Sorrows has only 6 capturable pets, plus they can show up as primary pets, so you'll find on average 3 Water Snakes for every 6 battles you engage (50%). Statistically, with 12 candidates for secondary pets in Twilight Highlands, you'll find on average 2 Water Snakes for every 12 battles you engage (16.6%). While your prize will be 6-7 levels lower than one captured in the Twilight Highlands, you'll probably spend a lot less time looking for it. If, however, through bad luck you don't find a rare Water Snake before you have rares of everything else in the zone, then I suggest wandering off to Swamp of Sorrows instead. If you have farmed for a rare of every other pet family in the Twilight Highlands, chances are good you will have landed up with a rare of this little guy at some point during the process (and if you happen to land up in a battle with two blues, one of which is a Water Snake I'd catch the Water Snake unless you are horde and the other pet is a Wildhammer Gryphon Hatchling). ![]() However as this pet doesn't spawn as a primary in Twilight Highlands, you'll have to rely on catching it as a secondary. Ideally, you want to capture a rare version in the Twilight Highlands, as you could land up with a pet that is already level 21-22 after your capture. Comment by LSavageIf, like me, you are into collecting rare (blue) quality pets of every type, and if, like me, you want to get them all to level 25, here is how I suggest going about it for the Water Snake:
